Commissioning custom furniture is a personal experience. As a solo maker, I work directly with you from the first sketch to delivery, building quality pieces tailored exactly to your space and lifestyle.

Because every piece is handcrafted one at a time, the process may require patience. Here is how we get from your initial idea to the finished piece.

1. Let's Talk

Fill out my inquiry form with your idea, rough dimensions, target budget, and any inspiration photos. If you are just looking to fill a corner or need some initial inspiration, try using the custom configurator to try different options with a basic visual guide. We’ll chat to discuss your vision, and I’ll give you a preliminary estimate and current lead time.

2. Design & Details

Once the estimate makes sense for you, I get to work on the design. I’ll create sketches and 3D models, and help you select the perfect hardwood and finish. I only use domestic and sustainably-sourced hardwoods unless otherwise specified. We’ll refine the design until it’s exactly what you want, free of charge, and I'll send a final quote.

3. On the Workbench

A 50% deposit secures your spot in my build queue. From there, I build your piece by hand using traditional joinery and techniques. The wait can be hard, so I’ll send progress photos from the shop so you can make any last-minute changes and watch your custom piece come to life.

4. Delivery & Legacy

After the final finish cures and the piece is thoroughly inspected, the remaining balance is due. I can arrange personal white-glove delivery or safely crate and ship your piece if you are further away. I’ll include simple care instructions so your investment ages beautifully and lasts for generations.
